Yin Medicine
A whole new way to deliver the medicine of acupuncture.
I’ve been an acupuncturist and healer for the last 12 years, and over time my skill sets and what I have to offer has grown and changed. I have undergone several, rigorous, multi-year long trainings that have deepened and stretched my capacity to hold people through intensive healing transformations. With this synthesis of practice I’ve developed a multi-modal methodology to work with patients and clients on their health and well being.
This method is Yin Medicine.
What is Yin Medicine and Why Choose Yin Medicine over Traditional Acupuncture Treatment?
Yin Medicine won’t be for everyone.
Yin Medicine is for you who are sick to death of looping inside patterns of illness. You who are curious about where in your body those patterns were truly born and taken root. You who are willing to let your ego’s identities die death after exquisite death in service to your healing and wholeness. You who are ready to release the mental grip of fear inside of stories of physical pain and disease, and let yourself feel the truth of your body, even when it aches.
Ready. Willing. Able.
Able because of a commitment to self responsibility.
Able because of a growing capacity to hear and feel truth.
Able because of a living and tended-to relationship with trust.
Able because of a willingness to be evermore viscerally present with the intensity of pain and terror that comes inherently with living inside a human-animal body - without running from it.
When one becomes able, the energy just moves.
It just happens. That’s its nature.
Of course these things can take time, there are factors at play. (explained below)
How is this better than seeing an acupuncturist in person?
It may not be, for you. This is something you need to feel into and decide for yourself…
When I look at the body, I use a 4 layer model.
In order from most dense to most subtle, I see the physical body, the emotional body, the etheric/energetic body, and the mental body. Each layer of the body contributes to and affects the health of all the other layers, and change in the subtle layers typically happens faster than change in the more dense layers.
With traditional acupuncture, you want to go often, usually a minimum of 1-2x per week for a period of time, to repair and correct a pattern of energy that runs at the level of the energetic body and shows symptoms at the level of the physical layer of the body.
For acute pains and even more chronic symptoms and conditions that are closer to the surface, regular acupuncture is extremely effective as a stand alone medicine.
But for symptoms that come from energetic patterns rooted in deeply held beliefs - beliefs being thoughts (mental body layer) that have been practiced so many times they become written into the patterning of all 4 layers of the body - or rooted in old pain or traumas (usually a combo of emotional and mental body layers) that have never been lovingly touched into or witnessed, traditional acupuncture will only make temporary shifts.
The patterns and symptoms that accompany them will eventually come back in the absence of treatment.
Most people don’t want to be “in treatment” indefinitely, so what can we do to ensure real, lasting transformation?
This is what I have spent the last decade delving into, studying and synthesizing a system of medicine that brings together many different lenses and techniques and delivers a person into the next level of vitality and a more whole, integrated state of being.
This is no quick fix, and it requires a deep level of commitment and self responsibility.
The mental and emotional layers can be most difficult to confront and makes shifts inside of. We tend to hold on really tight to our patterns inside those layers because that is where we protect our core identities and our beliefs: what we have learned about ourselves, about others, and about the world and life.
This is why sometimes when we implement energetic work on the etheric layer, we feel better for a short time, but the issues or symptoms ultimately keep coming back. Because change is prevented from penetrating fully into the physical body/realm by the ego’s grip on those deeper levels of thought and emotion.
What makes Yin Medicine different than regular acupuncture?
In addition to my 12+ years of practice in Chinese Medicine, I have lived for the last 7 years as a deep practitioner of the feminine spiritual path. I am uniquely skilled in the synthesis of spiritual law, energetic patterning, what shows up in the physical body as a result of that patterning, and how to create health in the body, mind, and heart from this perspective.
I have also studied and certified in the realms of trauma healing, parts work, and structural dissociation.
This is not just the principles of acupuncture applied to the body. While I hold deep reverence for Chinese Medicine and acupuncture as stand-alone modalities for health (as they are truly unparalleled on a physical-health level for internal medicine), there are a ton of people today who are ready for and searching for a multidimensional approach to their whole health and well being.
This means I work with people who are ready and willing to make shifts on all levels of their being - from the subtle energetics of the etheric body, through the mental and emotional realms, and into the densest layer of the physical body.
This is physical work, but it is also soul work.
You are not handing yourself over to me to “repair” you. Instead, you’re devoting yourself to a process of willing self inquiry, softening into openness, and expanding your capacity to hold your emotions and stay present with the sensations of your body.
The acupressure instruction and transformational coaching I offer, along with herbal medicine, and adjustment to your diet, movement, and sleep hygiene, are there to guide all 4 layers of your body into alignment and provide a structured container for your body and mind to relax into during this process.
The core of my methodology focuses on revealing the covert patterns of emotion, thought, and behavior running underneath the physical symptoms and issues that arise in your body.
I have a particular mastery of sight for these patterns and for using the principles of acupuncture to assist in unearthing the hidden emotions trapped by them.
When these deeper emotions release, the patterns of energy holding your physical symptoms in place can begin to dissolve as well.
Your body will generate symptoms in response to many things…
your environment, your emotions and thought patterns, the inputs of your food, sleep, and movement, and your constitutional/genetic or even karmic makeup. Some of these elements are within your control, and some of them are more challenging and even impossible to control.
For some of you, letting go of trying to control the elements beyond your human ability actually creates the most dramatic changes in your system - even on the dense physical level of the body - but for others, the greatest shifts happen when you finally see and feel how much agency you do have over your body and your life when you take real, loving ownership of the true reality you’ve been living in.
Most likely, there will be some combination of both happening within the scope of your treatment process. And in either case, seeing and accepting the patterns of behavior you’ve been running is the first crucial step to signalling to your body that it’s safe to move and function in a new way.
In this process, you will be required to drop your masks,
some you won’t even know (at first) you’ve been wearing because they were put on so long ago that they’ve been disguised as your personality and parts of your identity. When the masks begin to come down and you have a deeper appreciation for and acceptance of the truth of what’s been underneath all along…
THAT is when your body will begin to respond differently at the deepest root level.
THAT is when your symptoms can really shift for the long term.
So how do we create change on the levels of thought and emotion?
How can we let NEW etheric patterning of these energetic treatments etc. permeate through all the layers of our being for lasting physical change?
The short story: ego death paired with practical knowledge about what creates physical health.
The longer story: Curiosity. A gradual softening and openness to what ELSE may be true outside of what we already think, feel, and believe about ourselves and the world. The allowance of something different and new to emerge, even when it challenges what we thought we knew about ourselves, even when it asks us to let go of controlling the process of change, and even when it forces us to confront our deepest fears - usually they’re about not getting what we need or want.
In addition to the support of your physical body and health, developing this type of curiosity, openness, and allowance is part of the process within this program.
You will be guided to question what you know to be true about yourself - because maybe it’s not, and maybe it never was.
Maybe some of the things you believe about yourself or about the world around you were conditioned into you by painful circumstances of your youth.
Maybe they were lies told to you by sick, fearful, or angry people at a time before you were capable of discerning for yourself what is true.
Maybe they were true once, but as you’ve grown and developed, they no longer fit your reality.
Maybe you are much brighter, much more whole, and much safer than you have ever been led to believe.
Of course, I cannot promise you will go from severe illness to total wellness in 3 months, but you will learn and practice the tools necessary to create far deeper coherence with your body and environment at the root level, ones that will continue to support your health for the rest of your life.
You will learn:
Foundational theory based in natural law of the two fundamental energetic principles, how they interact, and how they directly apply to your life and your body.
What you inevitably trade, on a physical level, for prioritizing productivity, discipline, and mental ideas of who you are and what health “should” look like.
How to be fluidly devotional to your health, rather than rigid, dogmatic, and disciplined.
Functional and practical adjustments to your diet, sleep habits, and exercise regimen - tailored to your body and psyche’s unique system.
How to feel energy in your fingers, hands, and body so you can easily apply acupressure to yourself (and others).
Individualized, therapeutic acupressure protocols to be administered to yourself multiple times weekly that will help you create new, balanced, and functional energetic patterning in your body.
WHY and HOW the acupressure protocols work to repattern your energy.
How to set up a sacred, energetically clean, and private space for yourself for your self-administered energetic work.
How to notice and start shifting patterns that are simultaneously showing up in your physical body and external life.
How to begin to determine which of your physical symptoms are stuck emotions that can be cleared through a more straightforward practice of emotional release, and which require more committed patience and presence through a physical practice or deeper excavation of ingrained patterns of thought and belief.
How to match your energetic output to the seasons of the year - so that you stay within the bounds of real therapeutic participation with your body, rather than pushing past appropriate limits and setting yourself up for future symptoms and health crashes.
So what’s the plan? How do we get there?
True Commitment. Love of the body.
First, you must desire to spend a focused period of time committed to full spectrum healing and seeing it all the way through to a higher plane of health. Coming in for treatment a few times and becoming discouraged when you haven’t been made to “feel better” right away isn’t it.
Second, the Yin Medicine program:
You are entering an all-inclusive 3 month container where you will be held through a multilayered process of deepening into your body and releasing internal patterns that contribute to unwanted physical symptoms.
You will learn how to expertly self-administer acupressure, and use the individualized acu-point protocols I create for you a minimum of 3 times per week.
The first session will be dedicated to a diagnostic process using principles of Chinese Medicine and pattern assessment.
Beginning at your second session, every two weeks I will give you a new, updated point protocol that matches the new space your physiology and psyche have evolved into. You will also receive custom herbal formulas as needed throughout the 3 months.
Your biweekly sessions will run between 1 - 1.5 hours long. Your first session will include a deep dive into your health and life history. What’s revealed will become your personal curriculum for self study during the course of treatment, and I assist through guiding you into locations of gestalt process and inquiry that open your ability to see and feel yourself and your patterns in new ways.
I will offer individualized journaling prompts between coaching sessions for you to digest your experience and see your thoughts and feelings in a structured way on paper - this is very important, as it prevents hidden parts of you from staying in the shadows.
You are offered emotional and energetic support between your sessions via text messaging.

Who I don’t work with *inside of the Yin Medicine container.
People who:
Are committed to being vegan or vegetarian
Are unwilling to participate in physical exercise or dial back overly-intense exercise regimens
Are unwilling to challenge self concepts and personal identity (examples: “I’ve always been a night owl, it’s just who I am and it will never change.” Or, “I am asexual and that is just my natural identity, I refuse to believe it has anything to do with my health.”)
Are committed to identities of victimhood around their health (examples: “I AM a person with [x,y, or z condition, diagnosis, symptom] and doctors told me it would never change so my life is just hard now.” Or, “Nothing ever goes right for me, it’s just my bad luck that I keep spraining my left ankle.”)
Are fully enmeshed with the western medicine/allopathic model and already have a treatment protocol or long list of meds they are working with.
Want me to fix them. This path requires a level of personal responsibility and understanding that the shifts you make in this program are almost entirely to do with your level of readiness, receptivity, and participation.
